What is the best way to clean without damaging the fishing lures?
I have over a hundred vintage fishing lures who have been in my Dad. They are in good shape, but really need to be cleaned. I want to know the best way to clean without damaging them.
Not to start use anything stronger than dish soap, and a soft toothbrush to scrub. if they are painted wood, I would not touch even afraid of the paint removal. plastic lures should be fine. The lake has taken a crankbait that was covered in growth and soft after washing, finishing almost seems new. painted, but the connectors can crack in the paint over the years and the water can penetrate and remove paint chips with low value. Create a shadow box for display in its current state.
